  • My specialist field is Obstetric Anaesthesia. I hold the position of Senior Consultant Anaesthesiology (Obs), Selayang Hospital, Ministry of Health Malaysia. I obtained my medical degree (MD) from the University of Science, Malaysia in 1994 and attained full registration with the Malaysia Medical Council the year after. I obtained a Masters Degree in Anaesthesiology (MMed Anaest),from the National University Of Malaysia in 2001 and gazette as a Clinical Specialist in Anaesthesioloy with the Ministry of Health Malaysia in 2002. I persued my subspeciality training in Obstetric Anaesthesia in Hull, United Kingdom in 2006 and gazetted as an Obstetric Anaesthesiologist with the Ministry of Health Malaysia in 2010. Since then, I have been actively involved in the Obstetric Anaesthesia fraternity either in the clinical field, alongside with other fellow care providers as well in the academic aspect, nationally and internationally. Academically, I play active roles as Honorary lecturer of medical faculty in a number of local universities for training of undergraduates, postgraduates and Obstetric Anaesthesia subspeciality. I am passionate in studies and researches. I have published a number of research papers in national and international journals, write chapters for books and drafted guidelines and protocols for the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. I have attended numerous national and international anaesthesia meetings as invited speaker with special emphasis in the field of Obstetric Anaesthesia practice.
