Professor Takashi Asai, graduated at a Japanese university (Ksansai Medical University) in 1987, and obtained doctor of philosophy (PhD) degree at a British medical university (University of Wales College of Medicine (currently Cardiff University)) in 1997, is a professor of a Japanese university (Dokkyo Medical university), as well as an international societies of anaesthesia (Difficult airway society) faculty professor. His area of interests includes airway management, gut function, statistical analysis, ethics, and medical history. He is an editor of several journals (including British Journal of Anaesthesia), and has published more than 600 articles and textbooks (including textbooks on “how to write medical papers”), and has given lectures more than 200 times.
